Our Mission. Our mission is to tap into tomorrow’s brightest minds and empower them to explore the trends, thematics, and technological advances among college students to understand how these phenomena relate to the investing dynamics of stock markets.

Description of the Business Concept . We provide a platform for bright, passionate college students who love investing and business to get real business experience. The original thoughts and ideas of these business-minded wunderkinds will be available on the Internet at our website: www.thewonderkind.com and in a hard copy newsletter printed quarterly and mailed to subscribers. We are an informational publishing company which provides analysis citing key trends in various industries to our subscribers. The Wonderkind’s focus allows students to discuss business matters most relevant to them and their Wall Street analyst counterparts–current market and product trends, social issues, and general stock market dynamics–and decipher how these phenomena translate into current investment opportunities. Our analysts do not have to be influenced by the financial relationships that exist between Wall Street investment banks and their clients. The Wonderkind will provide access to its collaborative findings for interested readers throughout America by allowing them to subscribe via the website at a cost of $12.95 per year or $129.95 per month. This flat fee gives you unlimited access, email interaction, and a quarterly newsletter that contains the best articles and analysis in print form.

Opportunity: The founding partner will draw upon their own investment wisdom, perspicacity, and the expertise of their network of peers from different schools in the country to build the initial knowledge base. This marketing tool will be used to encourage motivated students from all universities, to submit their investment ideas for publication on The Wonderkind’s website and newsletter. We believe that motivated students will flock to this opportunity to gain exposure and honor through publication on the website as well as in the quality periodical without the need for other monetary compensation. We would be looking to recruit more full-time writers based on the quality investment analyses we have received and will compensate them accordingly. The quality and quantity of articles submitted by students will increase as we continue to grow our subscriber base.

The Wonderkind has a range of possible recruitment and implementation methods including the Internet; promotion via official college and university newsletters and magazines; with business and entrepreneurial departments at other schools; and lastly, through friend and family networking and support.

Target Market – Subscribers to The Wonderkind are motivated to be exposed to the pulse of college America. The Wonderkind’s target markets include:

  1. The vast majority of information available to business professionals is from a variety sources.
  2. Students studying business, finance, and marketing are encouraged to apply.

Competitive Advantage

  1. There is currently only one investment publication that taps into collegiate intelligence.
  2. Our goal is to appeal to motivated college students who are fed up with the inability of large corporations to organize internship programs.

    • Internships are available both during school year and summer.
    • Students won’t have to relocate because their internship would be conducted electronically.

The Wonderkind’s uniqueness comes from the planned creation of a select group of college students who represent America’s most technologically savvy, and dynamic generation. Today’s college students have earned more respect from society as a whole and business professionals than ever before. With the incredible success stories of college entrepreneurs such as Bill Gates, Michael Dell, and Sean Fanning, everyone seems to have an interest in the pulse of the collegiate America.

Economic Potential We have five-year projected models that show more than one million dollars per year in annual revenue.

Beginning in two years, we could be adding value-added and cross-marketing services to our bottom line.

Management: Both founding partners, Frank Peanut and Jacob Sweller have unique resumes and background experiences. Each of them brings with it unique personal qualities which will be complementary as they grow their businesses.

Frank Peanut, a finance major, is in the top 5%. He has been mentored by two Minneapolis hedge fund managers. Frank is the current Co-fund Manager at the Investment Club responsible for $400,000 in assets. Frank has been managing his personal equity market funds since the age 14. His future plans include working for a few years in Investment Banking before going on to graduate.

Jacob Sweller is on track for a dual-degree in finance/government. Jacob is currently enrolled in Honors Program and scored a 1500 SAT exam. Jacob has been active in the business community while at school. Jacob has directed business-consulting presentations for McKinsey & Co., as well as Credit Suisse First Boston. Jacob has received more than 30 prestigious awards in academics as well as athletics during the past few year. Jacob is currently the Investment Club Co-fund Management Manager responsible for $400,000 in assets.

The Offer. We are offering a large minority share in The Wonderkind as a way to obtain financing for start-up costs and the development of our services. We are open and willing to negotiate.

Potential Risks. While investment in start-ups is always risky, we have a commitment to managing any funds that are received responsibly and wisely. However, The Wonderkind is not an Internet company. We are an informational publishing company which provides services citing key trends in various industries to our customers. We have decided to utilize the Internet for distribution purposes because it is the most cost efficient method.
